Why choose us

A development partner, not a project vendor

Plenty of agencies will build you something and disappear. We are set up for the part that comes after launch, because that is where most business software actually lives or dies.

01

You own everything

The code, the repository, the hosting account and the domain are all in your name. No lock-in, nothing held back as leverage.

02

Fixed quotes, no surprises

We scope properly before quoting, then hold the price. If the scope changes you will hear about it before the work happens, not after.

03

Built to be handed over

Every build ships with an admin panel for content, images, SEO and enquiries, so routine changes never need a developer.

04

Support in your hours

Maintenance, security patching, backups and content changes, with replies during Australian business hours.

About Webcotec

An Australian technology company that builds things properly

Webcotec Technology Pty Ltd designs, builds and maintains websites, online stores and custom business software for Australian companies. We have been building for the web since 2016, and today we work with retailers, schools, clinics, trades and distributors across the country.

We are deliberately small and senior. You work directly with the people writing the code, not through three layers of account management.

How much does a website cost in Australia?

A business website from Webcotec typically starts in the low five figures, with online stores and custom software depending entirely on scope. Use the estimator above for an indicative range, then book a scoping call and we will give you a fixed written quote in Australian dollars.

How long does a project take?

A brochure website is usually four to six weeks from approval. Ecommerce builds run six to ten weeks. Custom software starts at around three months and is delivered in stages, so you see working software early rather than only at the end.

Who owns the code, the hosting and the domain?

You do. The repository, admin access, hosting account and domain are all registered in your name. There is no lock-in and nothing is held back as leverage if you ever move to another provider.

Can we update the website ourselves afterwards?

Yes. Every Webcotec build ships with an admin panel covering pages, content, images, SEO settings and enquiries, so routine changes never need a developer. We include a handover session and written documentation.

Do you work with businesses outside Sydney and Melbourne?

Yes. We work remotely with businesses right across Australia, including regional operators in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia. Meetings run over video during AEST business hours.

What happens after the site or software launches?

Ongoing maintenance covers software updates, security patching, backups, uptime monitoring, and content or feature changes. You can take this as a monthly retainer or on an ad hoc basis, whichever suits your business.
